The best is yet to come.

Life can be hard sometimes. We all face challenges, disappointments, and losses that can make us feel discouraged and hopeless. But we don’t have to let our circumstances define us or rob us of our joy. We can choose to trust in God’s promises and believe that He has a good plan for our lives. He is not done with us yet, and the best is yet to come.

In this blog post, I want to share with you some biblical truths and practical tips that can help you stay hopeful in difficult times. Whether you are going through a personal crisis, a global pandemic, or a season of waiting, these principles can help you overcome fear, doubt, and despair.

Remember God’s faithfulness in the past.

One of the best ways to stay hopeful in difficult times is to remember how God has been faithful to you in the past. Think about the times when He answered your prayers, delivered you from trouble, or blessed you beyond your expectations. Recall the testimonies of His goodness and grace in your life and in the lives of others. As you do, you will be reminded that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He has not changed, and He will not fail you.

Psalm 77:11-12 says, “I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.” When we remember God’s faithfulness in the past, we can have confidence in His faithfulness for the future.

Rejoice in God’s presence in the present.

Another way to stay hopeful in difficult times is to rejoice in God’s presence in the present. No matter what we are going through, we can always find reasons to praise God and thank Him for His presence with us. He is not distant or detached from our situation. He is near to us, and He cares for us. He is our refuge and strength, our help and hope, our joy and peace.

Philippians 4:4-7 says, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” When we rejoice in God’s presence in the present, we can experience His peace that surpasses all understanding.

Rely on God’s promises for the future.

A third way to stay hopeful in difficult times is to rely on God’s promises for the future. God has given us many promises in His Word that assure us of His love, His power, His wisdom, and His plan for our lives. He has promised to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). He has promised to work all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). He has promised to give us a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). He has promised to prepare a place for us in heaven (John 14:2-3).

2 Corinthians 1:20 says, “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God.” When we rely on God’s promises for the future, we can have assurance that He will fulfill them in His perfect time and way.

Conclusion

The best is yet to come. This is not a wishful thinking or a naive optimism. This is a confident expectation based on God’s character and Word. We can stay hopeful in difficult times because we know that God is faithful, present, and promising. He is not done with us yet, and He has something better for us ahead.

So let us not lose heart or give up. Let us hold on to our hope and trust in our God. Let us remember His faithfulness in the past, rejoice in His presence in the present, and rely on His promises for the future. And let us say with the apostle Paul,

“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us…For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:18-39)The best is yet to come!.
